Cascade County Animal Services is the municipal animal control and care agency for Cascade County, California. We serve unincorporated areas and contracting cities, providing shelter, adoption, field services, and foster coordination through Pawsitive Foster.
Free spay/neuter for community (unowned) cats. Includes vaccines, ear-tip, flea treatment, and pain meds. Traps available to borrow. Pre-registration required — spots fill fast.
Spay/neuter for owned cats and dogs. Includes rabies vaccine, pain meds, and nail trim. Microchip available for $15. Bring photo ID, proof of Cascade County residency, and current vaccination records. No food after midnight.

March 2026 continued the upward trend in live release rate, reaching 93.8%. Foster placements accounted for 57% of all positive outcomes. Average length of stay dropped to 12.6 days, down from 14.8 in February, driven by faster foster matching through the platform.
